    • Black Duck Turned Head Sleeper  Duck Decoy Original Paint Carver Danny Lee Heuer.
    • This Decoy is from my (deceased) 96 year old fathers estate and Duck Decoy Collection.
    • Hand Carved and Painted by Danny Lee Heuer, out of Michigan High Ground White Cedar, circa 1985.
    • Approximate Size;  16" long by 7 1/2" high  and 7  1/4" wide, a magnum full size working decoy.
    • This Black Duck Sleeper was Dad's first very detailed with a feather veined & etched out style of carving.
    • It was carved out with the intent to float and trying hunting over it, but do to my personal interest in this decoy, it was never floated or hunted over.
    • I asked to have it passed along to me as a Birthday gift and it went directly to my decoy collection which was starting to grow at this point.
    • Also to note this is one of the very few of his carvings that he actually signed the bottom of it along with his intials and town (SSM-Meaning Sault Ste. Marie).
    • A must have Decoy for that serious decoy collector, and now available which would make a great addition to anyone's collection.
    • This Black Duck Sleeper is also featured on the poster, "The Decoys of Danny Lee Heuer", which comes at no cost to the buyer, and is one of the very few that are available on that poster.
