Bufflehead Sleeper Duck Decoy Original Paint Working Decoy by Danny Lee Heuer.
This decoy is from my (deceased) fathers estate and duck decoy collection.
Hand carved and painted by Danny Lee Heuer out of Michigan High Ground White Cedar circa 1990.
Approximate size is; 10 1/2" in length by 6 1/4" high and 6" wide, a full size working decoy.
The bottom of the decoy has dad's year and initials carved into it as the picture shows.
We floated and hunted this decoy over a 5 year period, with strict instructions not to shoot near it!
After hunting over this decoy, it was retired to his collection room to join many others he put on the shelf.
This Bufflehead sleeper is a rare find and a great addition to that serious decoy collection.
