Gracefully swimming by, this beautiful pair of wood ducks seems at peace with the world.  I witnessed these beauties one spring morning, in my back yard, and they were spectacular.  I especially remember how the drake had his head in full display and the female was just looking on.  I enjoy drawing in pencil, doesn’t seem to be the pressure of color work.  I also learn a great deal each time I try a new rendering, and that’s how you learn a little here and a little there.  I really enjoyed this scene, it was so peaceful that morning, and the ducks seemed to know that I was just a casual observer.  There are sure a lot of scenes I would like to capture, so I hope you enjoy this one, and I am off to find another.
